About the Role
Chainlink Labs is seeking a Chief Marketing Officer to lead a unified global marketing function to drive and accelerate revenue growth, while reinforcing and enhancing Chainlink’s brand presence and multi-faceted community. Reporting to the Co-Founder & CEO Sergey Nazarov, this person will be critical to developing and executing complex and community-centric global marketing strategies to reach a variety of stakeholders.
The CMO will review, define, and manage the teams according to robust and relevant KPIs and forecasting methodologies. They will adopt a relentless focus on maximizing marketing pipeline at all times across all verticals and geographies to deliver against the ambitious business growth objectives. This individual will bring a clear, data-driven approach to a complex product environment.
The successful candidate will inspire, support, and challenge the commercial leadership team. As CMO, this person will need to be constantly adapting, working closely with the Product and Sales teams to stay at the cutting edge of these developments. The CMO will also be instrumental in driving market awareness for Chainlink Labs across blockchain developers, enterprises, financial institutions, and consumers.

- Marketing strategy: lead global marketing efforts, overseeing strategy and execution of all initiatives. Establish a rigorous, data-driven methodology across the entire marketing function with accompanying visible metrics.
- Brand Differentiation: Drive Chainlink’s brand positioning as the definitive standard for data across derivatives and non-derivative markets, while accelerating its brand emergence as the leading platform for tokenized assets and the go-to blockchain services partner for banking and capital markets customers globally.
- SLT collaboration: act as a strategic partner to the CEO, the Executive team and the Board bringing the user and growth marketing into the heart of the business. Collaborate particularly with the Chief Business Officer and promote a collaborative attitude between the two teams.
- Innovation: drive marketing innovation across the organization & in particular, build the capabilities in product marketing.
- Demand generation: diagnose the current demand generation efforts, including customer acquisition approach, efficiency and cadence. Establish clear priorities to increase acquisition and conversion rates.
- Product marketing: optimize the product marketing function. Specifically, create resonant messages for Chainlink’s technical product features and functions that are digestible for buying personas.
- ABM and Targeting: evaluate the current marketing funnel to identify gaps and create truly customized collateral for Enterprise-level accounts.
- Team development: evaluate and continuously enhance the Chainlink marketing team. Unite teams across different geographies and develop the wider team
Requirements
- A seasoned, multi-functional marketing leader with a background in storytelling and community-building as tracked by large increases across product adoption, revenue, and brand reach.
- Intimately familiar with developer tools and broader experience marketing complex, technical products.
- Experience building a marketing plan for a platform with multiple products.
- A deep understanding of brand building with a proven ability to deliver a cohesive message across multiple customer segments and stakeholder groups.
- Marketing leader that is a talent magnet with high standards/low tolerance for low performers that has grown a successful marketing organization of 30+ with a tight budget and not spending lots of money on buying ads.
- An analytical and data-driven approach, comfortable using data to inform insight and deliver effective execution. A track record of setting and exceeding KPIs linked to the broader goals of the business.
- Experienced at working in a global business across disparate teams is strongly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- A strong operational mindset and execution focused, taking personal ownership of business critical marketing programs. Demonstrates a “Founder Mode” mindset for marketing.
- Deep personal interest and experience in building community. Must be able to build and energize a multi-faceted community (developers, academics, enterprises, general blockchain enthusiasts).
- Passionate about blockchains and wants to be in our industry.
- A strong fit with Chainlink Labs’ culture: humble, collaborative, low ego, non-hierarchical, purpose-driven, and passionate. Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with competing demands and priorities.
- Excellent communicator, capable of motivating and energizing reports and peers, with an ability to generate sustained enthusiasm from a vision statement.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to pivot into the details where necessary.
