VP, Product Management - Banking Capital Markets
About the Role
Chainlink is seeking a Vice President of Product Management, Capital Markets, to lead the development and delivery of our institutional-grade blockchain infrastructure for capital markets. This is a GM-level leadership role—owning the full-stack product vision, team, and execution for one of Chainlink’s most strategically important verticals.
You’ll build and scale products & solutions that enable banks, custodians, and other financial institutions to securely and efficiently access decentralized systems. From custody integrations and settlement rails to chain abstraction protocols and relayer infrastructure, you’ll deliver core infrastructure powering the next generation of financial systems.
This is not a pure strategy role—it’s a builder’s role. You’ll manage a team of senior product managers, collaborate closely with world-class engineers, and operate with the autonomy and ownership of a founder. You’re someone who thrives in complexity, moves fast, and brings a high technical bar to infrastructure product development.
This role is fully backed by Chainlink’s executive team and sits at the heart of our institutional roadmap. You’ll have the resources, mandate, and team to shape the future of blockchain adoption across global financial markets.
Your Impact
- Own the Institutional Product & Solutions Stack: Lead end-to-end strategy and execution across custody interfaces, including collateral management, banking & capital markets solutions, leading with compliance and privacy offerings, and institutional-grade onchain data delivery.
- Deliver for the World’s Largest Institutions: Build secure, compliant, and performant infrastructure for top-tier financial institutions, integrating with blockchains.
- Lead and Scale a High-Performing PM Team: Manage a team of senior PMs delivering across critical product areas; build a culture of technical depth and executional excellence.
- Bridge TradFi and Blockchain: Develop products that connect legacy financial systems to blockchain networks, enabling tokenization, real-time settlement, and proof-of-reserve functionality.
- Shape Chainlink’s Institutional Narrative: Partner with GTM, BD, Legal, and Marketing to position Chainlink’s capital markets stack as the industry standard.
- Collaborate Across Strategic Domains: Work closely with leaders across CCIP Core, RWA/Data, and Web3 to ensure cohesive delivery of institutional infrastructure.
What Success Looks Like
- Within 6 months, you’ve delivered a clear, prioritized product and/or solutions roadmap and gained buy-in across engineering and GTM leadership.
- Within 12 months, your team has shipped live products and/or solutions integrated into the capital markets infrastructure used by major institutions.
- Chainlink is seen as the default infrastructure provider for capital markets use cases—from custody to cross-chain settlement.
- You are a trusted & visionary leader within Chainlink and the broader industry, helping define the future of blockchain-based financial infrastructure.
Requirements
- 10+ years in product leadership roles building and shipping technical infrastructure for capital markets (e.g., custody systems, settlement networks, trading platforms, financial messaging layers).
- Proven experience leading high-performing PM teams (10+), with a track record of delivering enterprise-grade systems at scale.
- Strong technical fluency; able to partner deeply with engineering and make high-quality product decisions involving distributed systems, security, or blockchain infrastructure.
- Deep understanding of the capital markets landscape—its structure, regulation, participants, and workflows.
- Direct experience with blockchain infrastructure, whether integrating it into institutional products or building native blockchain systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Operator-founder or early product leader at a startup building capital markets or blockchain infrastructure.
- Experience building custody rails, payment networks, or secure financial messaging systems (e.g., FIX, SWIFT, ISO 20022).
- Familiar with compliance, risk, and regulatory expectations in enterprise financial products.
- Holds or actively engages with digital assets; stays current on blockchain trends and adoption patterns.
- Strong communicator with a proven ability to influence internal executives and external institutions.
